// FAQ

What is Copse?

Copse is a free web directory — an editorial gazette cataloguing reviewed sites across 22 sections of the open web. It functions as a reference register for navigating the commercial and informational web without registration or subscription.

Is it free to list my site?

Yes. Submitting a site to the Copse register costs nothing. Once your submission is reviewed and approved, your entry appears in the relevant section of the gazette.

How are sites organised in Copse?

The directory is divided into 22 sections — from Wagers & Tables to Lodgings & Journeys — each corresponding to a distinct area of the web. Within a section, entries are listed in the order they were approved.

How do I submit a site?

Use the Add a Site form linked from the main navigation. Provide your site URL, select the most appropriate section, and submit. An editor will review the entry and, if approved, add it to the register.

How long does review take?

Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis. Most entries receive a decision within a few days. Check back directly, as Copse does not send confirmation notices.

Can I submit more than one site?

Each domain may be listed once in the Copse register. If you operate several distinct sites on separate domains, each may be submitted individually and reviewed on its own merits.
